Cleaning Crew

Happy Earth Day!  Thanks to everyone who has indicated their interest in participating in the community-wide clean-up event from April 22 to May 4.  

We have four scheduled events. The above, plus McGee Toyota will be cleaning Charlestown Rd. on 4/27 at 10am. If residents prefer to choose their own area to pick up litter, please sign up at either the community center or the library.  This will help us organize our community clean-up efforts and coordinate the collection of trash bags.  Blue plastic bags and disposable gloves are available at the sign-up locations.

The following locations have been cleaned up by the various volunteers:

• Winter Street (both sides of Washington St. to Thrasher Rd./Slab City Intersection)

• Charlestown Road (both sides, Ford to Grissom Lane)

• Plains Road (both sides, from Old Church Rd. intersection nearest the Lower Main Street to Maple Ave.)

• Maple Avenue (below golf course)

• River Road (both sides of the road, boat launch entrance to 141 River Rd. and Old Tambrands.
