Situated on three acres of land along the picturesque Sugar River, the Sugar River Community Gardens is a public resource dedicated to enhancing community well-being through sustainable gardening. Operated by Claremont Parks & Recreation, the gardens are intended for the benefit and use of Claremont residents, providing an opportunity to cultivate fresh, healthy food in a cooperative and supportive environment.
The mission of the Sugar River Community Gardens is to promote community engagement, support local food production, and encourage healthy lifestyles by offering affordable garden plots to individuals and families. The site is designed to foster a shared sense of responsibility, environmental stewardship, and mutual respect among participating gardeners.
Available Amenities:
• More than 20 individual garden plots
• Access to a water spigot for irrigation
