Join us this August for the Junior Mountain Biking Club, a fun and skill-building opportunity for youth ages 7–15 who are ready to take their biking to the next level! Whether your child is just getting into trail riding or already has some experience, this program is designed to promote safe riding, trail etiquette, and a lifelong love of mountain biking.
The club meets on Wednesday evenings from August 5th to August 26th, 6:00 PM to 7:15 PM, and is based at Claremont’s Moody Park, utilizing the park’s extensive pathways and trails. Sessions will focus on skill development, trail etiquette, simple bike repair, and single-track riding fun. Each session includes guided rides, instruction, and coaching from experienced local riders, led by the knowledgeable staff of Wheelhouse Bike Shop.
The first session Participants will complete a bike safety inspection and a basic skills clinic. This session ensures that every rider is prepared and equipped for safe and confident trail riding. Participants should bring their bike and helmet to every session.
Bike & Safety Requirements:
Riders must have a 24-inch wheeled bike (or larger) with multiple speeds
A properly fitted helmet is required
Participants should have basic biking knowledge, including braking, safety awareness, and using gears
Bike Safety Stations will be available, featuring helmet checks, safety tips, and giveaways to promote safe biking habits
