The Claremont Parks & Recreation Department is honored to host the All Out Trail Run as part of the Western New Hampshire Trail Running Series (WNHTRS). This well-established race series features trail events ranging from 5K to 12.5K, each designed to highlight the natural beauty of the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont. The series was originally created to support local Recreation Departments and has grown into a collaborative, high-caliber racing tradition celebrated by both new and experienced runners.
Trail running is currently one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States, offering participants the opportunity to challenge themselves physically while enjoying the unique terrain and community atmosphere that each venue provides. The WNHTRS emphasizes inclusivity and encourages participation from runners of all backgrounds and experience levels.
The All Out Trail Run takes place on a 4.61-mile course within Claremont’s scenic Moody Park. This course features a variety of trail conditions and natural obstacles that offer an engaging and challenging experience for all participants. Beginning at the picnic area near the top of the park, runners will navigate:
Narrow, winding single-track forest trails
Wider logging roads and mixed terrain transitions
Wet and potentially muddy sections requiring careful footing
The locally known “Gravity Cavity”, a steep descent followed by an equally steep climb
A final gradual uphill segment leading back to the starting point
This race is suitable for both recreational runners and competitive athletes seeking a distinctive trail experience.
All proceeds from the All Out Trail Run directly benefit the Claremont Parks & Recreation Department, contributing to the development and maintenance of outdoor recreation programs and facilities for the community.
We invite you to join us for a morning of fitness, nature, and community engagement in one of Claremont’s most treasured parks.
