185 acres, open to the public, that offers year-round outdoor recreation opportunities. Arrowhead Recreation Area is located in and owned by the City of Claremont, New Hampshire, in Sullivan County. Activities offered include mountain biking, and alpine skiing and snow tubing during winter months. The facility offers public seating, public wi-fi, public water fountains and public restrooms. The lodge area is managed seasonally by the Wheelhouse Bike Shop and the non-profit, Arrowhead Recreation Club.

*These hours are fixed and only change due to holiday closures, special events, family emergencies and sicknesses.
**During the winter months, when Arrowhead Recreation Club (ARC) takes over operations, the lodge hours may be extended on Fridays and Saturdays in cohesion with the outdoor operations that they manage.

7.2 acres that is home to outdoor basketball courts, pickleball courts, playground, local baseball and football home games, as well as Babe Ruth summer baseball and much more! This Sports Complex and Recreation Facility encumbers a long-standing pastime in the Claremont, NH area.

This multi-use trail leads visitors from the center of Claremont starting on Pleasant Street, along Monadnock Park, and out to Washington Street.
Amenities include:
• 2.7 miles of trail connecting Claremont, NH to Newport, NH
• Parking off Pleasant Street
• Solar powered crosswalk LED’s
Walkers, joggers, runners, pet owners, snowshoe enthusiasts, cross-country skiers and bicyclists can all enjoy this stretch of trail that includes sections of paved trail way as well as hard pack, well maintained trail.

3/4-acre lot located in the center of town, this park offers several monuments that help us remember and pay tribute to those that served our country.

3 acres along the sugar river; our mission is to create gardens for the use and benefit of Claremont's citizens, to support a cooperative community of gardeners, and to provide affordable rental plots for members to grow their own healthy food.

1/4-acre lot alongside the sugar river. This small neighborhood park provides visitors with a breath-taking view overlooking the sugar river with a nice place to relax.

1/10-acre lot dedicated to Oliver Lacasse and the World War I veterans who served our country.
Amenities include:

Stop by this small neighborhood park to pay respect to the WW I veterans who served this great country.

29 acres that is the hub of athletics during the spring/summer/fall months in the Claremont, NH community. Monadnock Park plays home to the Coach Parker Sports Complex.
Amenities include:
• 1/4-mile synthetic surface running/walking track
• 200+ parking spaces
• (3) youth baseball/softball diamonds
• Field house/bleachers/lighted game field/practice fields
• Playground
• Restroom facilities (seasonal)
• Tennis courts
Monadnock Park is home to a variety of sports organizations including; Claremont Youth Soccer Association (CYSA), Claremont Youth Baseball & Softball Association (CYBSA), Stevens High School athletic programs including; boys & girls’ soccer, field hockey, football, track & field, tennis, lacrosse and band. Special events such as the annual July 4th Celebration and the Special Olympics Regional Meet also take place in this park.

255 acres given in 1916 to the City of Claremont by William H. H. Moody includes a vast trail network and outdoor recreation opportunities. Bikers, trail runners and even adventurous walkers can explore the trail network in Moody Park by downloading a Moody Park Trail Map.

The vehicular traffic hours / gate will be open:
• Starting on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, through Columbus Day – 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM (daily)
• Fall/Winter/Spring – open to foot traffic only
*A permit, at no fee, is required for special event use including cook outs, get-togethers and birthday parties. To obtain a permit, visit the Claremont Savings Bank Community Center during the hours of operation or call 603-542-7019 for more information. You can also obtain a Special Event Permit Application by visiting the Policies, permits & applications tab on our home page.
**All events that occur at the top of Moody Park will need to consider renting a portable toilet as there is not one supplied by the Parks & Rec. Dept.

2 1/2 acres; the Sarah B.H. Smith Recreation Facility sits along the sugar river and provides the community with a place for the young x-games enthusiast a place to exercise, while fine tuning their skating skills.

• Jason W. Hagerman Memorial Pavilion
A nice location for a picnic along the Sugar River or a place to tryout your stunts. Enjoy all that Claremont has to offer!

25 Veterans Park Road, Claremont NH 03743
8 acres of community recreation space. Heavy usage occurs during the Spring and Summer months with various high school sports and adult programs.
Amenities include:
• Bill Baril Memorial Softball Field w/ lights
• Horseshoe pits w/ lights
• Open green space
• Playground
• Portable toilet (seasonal)
The Bill Baril Memorial Softball Field at Veterans Park is home to many softball sports teams including the Claremont Coed Slow-Pitch Softball League, the Claremont Adult Modified Softball League and the Stevens High School Girls Softball Program. The softball field has also seen a number of updates over the last decade. Community members and sponsors continue to provide support in making this a state-of-the-art facility for recreational space.

7 acres overlooking the Sugar River. This area includes a pedestrian walking bridge connecting North Street to the Mill District and downtown.

Always a busy area, this space encompasses a wide range of activities and events, from weddings and private gatherings, to the annual Chili Cook-Off / Fall Festival and Brewfest, you will be sure to find entertainment along the Sugar River at this wonderful destination.
